Questions and comments about the stop tang installation.

1. The pictures for stop tang installation show it being installed above the lower pintle. Shouldn't it be above the upper pintle?

3. How do you seal the screw hole without impeding the stop tang's swing?  (BTW, that shows one more reason to install it above the top pintle--lower chance of water splashing on it.) 

3. Anyway, I installed the stop tang as instructed, using a tiny bit of sealant. BUT, when I tried to attach the rudder, the tang's screw head blocked the pintle from entering the gudgeon! (Tightening the screw head a bit did not solve the problem. The screw head is too "fat." Perhaps a smaller, flat-head screw might work.)
