Thanks for your help. I have my interlux varnish and brightside paint on order.

I did not order the pre-kote primer, it would be just too much $$$ into the finishing products. I would have over $100 just for the finish.

Have any of you tried a different primer? I have done a bodywork in the past and other painting projects over wood so I know I can get a really nice smooth surface for painting. Just wonder what other products people have used.
