foot peg mounting

I'm interested in mounting my foot peg assemblies without drilling thru the hull. I found a web site that shows mounting an aluminum Yakima foot peg system using 2 areas of thickened epoxy with nuts set into the epoxy. The foot peg rails are then screwed into those 2 epoxied nuts on the inside of the hull. Has anyone else tried this or something similar. If so, what are your details?
