With a Speedmate I timed my 17lt at high cruise, the optimum heart rate for me, and it came in at just over 6 mph. Believe it or not, a Wind Swift paddle! Same set up on the Pax came out just over 7 mph. Drop me an off line e-mail and I have a couple of other recommendations. And for Lee's information, we have very little ice in Mission Bay.
