Canal Paddling

Joe:

What canal(s) do you paddle?

Often dismissed because canals offer no challenging conditions, I find the occassional excursion on New Jersey's Delaware and Raritan Canal refreshingly tranquil. I paddle it when I need pristine calm for bring little kids in the Triple, or a tranquil alternative to getting tossed around in tidal bays. Canals ussually offer historic subject matter as well.

Any one else do canals? Which ones have you paddled, and what did you think of them?
