Re: Canal Paddling

Steve, I have paddled the Barge Canal in upstate NY from above the locks in Waterloo to Seneca Lake and back. About 11 miles and a really nice excursion. I did the trip in mid-September...summer might be less pleasant because of heavy power boat traffic between the Finger Lakes.
Here in Virginia, we do most of our paddling on various sections of the Potomac. And we also enjoy Currituck Sound at the Outer Banks in NC.
