Support or Sawhorse Recommendations

Hey everyone, Im looking for some recommendations for sawhorses or supports for a Northeastern dory build.

Any ideas on a good one to buy? I assume adjustable height would be nice.

RE: Support or Sawhorse Recommendations

For my Peapod build we are using saw horses that are assembled from a bracket found on Amazon. And I cannot say enough good about them!!! I'll share the link below. The 2 pack comes with plastic brackets to make a pair of saw horses with standard 2x4s that you cut yourself (wood isn't included FYI). The advantage is that you can make the horses to fit your needs. For example, we bought 2 sets and made a large and small set of legs so we had a high and low version if needed. We also decided on the width we wanted/needed (a wider horse means you aren't just limited to a small section of the bow and stern leaving a tippy hull with beam wobbling in the middle). In addition to the height and width, we found that you can easily remove the top piece of wood (the one your work would traditionally rest on) and the boat can sit down on the brace piece below with the tops of the saw horses on either side like a cradle. This worked great to quickly lower the boat and ensure it wouldn't roll off while upside down or while working on the interior and leaning on the edges. I can't tell you how nice it is to have the boat at the "right" height for you as you spend hours upon hours reaching over/into it. And to top it all off, the pieces are easy to disassemble and make storage a breeze! You can leave the A-frames together and just remove the cross pieces or completely take it all apart. I think it has places where you can screw the 2x4's to the bracket, but for the most part I think we only did this sparingly and (especially for the 2 cross pieces we simply used the friction fit and it made it easy to change as needed). The cost, customizability/versatility, and storage has made these things really worth their weight in gold in my opinion. I know I sound like a commercial but they've worked great! I'll also try to find some pictures of them in action if I can share. Here's a photo of the higher legs which allowed us to work at roughly counter top ("back-saver") level    https://photos.app.goo.gl/NYV9VD9qDcouHhY27 Here's 2 photos showing the wider width for stability/support (lower legs to be able to reach): https://photos.app.goo.gl/JEKyMjtbVF3tZCb19 https://photos.app.goo.gl/mcDajvBGKmJrHZBX8 Here's a photo of the boat being cradled "inside" ready for fiberglass at the bow and stern: https://photos.app.goo.gl/TWz2fzFus2oURmoA6

RE: Support or Sawhorse Recommendations

After noting this thread last week I ordered up two sets of these things off Amazon. Chose 'used' price thinking maybe I could save a few $$ over 'new'... after all, just how bad could they be yet not reportable to Amazon as 'defective'?  BB stores want something like $35 per set; I paid less than half that.

Postal lady just delivered two largish boxes, inslde of which were the plastic horse frames - complete with leg end caps still attached to their sprues - and the unpoened bags of screws. These frames have never been used.

I've been using more expensive DeWalt collapsable horses for various purposes. These 2x4Basic frames look to be a viable, less costly alternative that ought to serve well where non-standard length and/or height horses may be better.

Also...Always fun to make a set....these are simple interlocking joint setups that take apart nicely and worked great for my Skerry build
