Sea-Dog Rudder Control Foot Brace

Has anyone used the Sea-Dog Rudder foot brace? I am getting close to mounting foot braces on my MC 16.5 and will be installing a Feathercraft K2 rudder. It looks like a nice upgrade to the Feathercraft sliding assembly and the hole spacing is 14.5".
