I want to thank all the staff at CLC in Mystic yesterday.  It was great to meet everyone and see them in action.  Even better, they convinced me to *use* my boat.  I splashed it once last year after the build was completed and then have had it prominently on display in my house as an heirloom piece.  It looks great but the bigger issue was my fear that "something will happen to it and I worked so hard on it...".  After talking with the guys yesterday and seeing all the well used, worn, yet still stuningly beautiful boats, I relaunched my Mill Creek 16.5 for an evening paddle today.  I was stopped twice at the dock by admirers, and I had a lovely paddle.  I'm even more excited about this boat than I was when I first finished it.
