I wanted to share a Kayaking story – it is related, if only tenuously, to homebuilt kayaks. Earlier today, my daughter and I were at an introductory Kayaking class that our local Canoe Club sponsored. The lake where today’s class took place was near the home of another member who came out to help instruct. This gentleman began kayaking in his 70’s, whitewater kayaking. He recently stopped kayaking class 3 water…
Today he brought a stich and glue kayak that he just bought from a friend – he is planning to paddle it around Manhattan island this summer. He also showed us that he can roll a 17 ft sea kayak.
By the way, he’s now 84. I guess there’s no reason for me not to paddle more… Regards, Mike
