Hull Curvature

Posted by Doug on Apr 3, 2007

A buddy and I are in process of building 4 shearwaters. 2 17s, a 16 and a 17 Hybrid. We are ready to glass the 3 regular boats and haven't had any real problems getting to this point. However on the hybrid, after stiching the panels together, the hull curves, if you sight down the boat, the center of the cockpit is about 1/2" off the centerline drawn from bow to stern. Any thoughts on why and how to correct this? My first thought is that one of shear clamps does not bend the same as the other.
