Thanks for the advice, condensation combined with thin areas of epoxy could certainly be the culprit here. It does appear as a very dark green color. It is a bit of a let down after 8 coats of varnish on the deck to lose the battle as the result of an attack from below... We will continue to dry the areas and apply another coat of epoxy to the underside of the deck.
