Got a razor knife? Order some burl veneer from rockler or some place and contact cement that bad boy on. Then glass over it. The whole shooting match probably wouldn't set you back 20 bucks. I am going to put the lone star flag on the back of mine. I ordered cherry, birch, walnut and maple now I just have to decide which to use. The plain sliced veneers at rockler set me back 2.99 each for a 10in x 36in piece.
