Nah, I don't agree on utility of the fastek buckles for securing the hatches in a variety of conditions, like cold weather or by folks with weak hands. Too hard to tighten once they're buckled, hence too tempting to buckle with too much slack in the straps.

I guess I should get off my lazy butt and scare up some 1" S/S D rings, sew them on and see if they work.

And do have a nice weekend. Lots of good kayaking in the snow, no doubt.
