Thanks for all the ideas. I think I will proceed with scarfing then see how it looks. The part the killed me was I traced and cut the patterns to lauan first to test Kurt Maurer statement that all side panels would fit on a single sheet. The lauan scraps sat on the concrete for 3 weeks with out any wicking before the bilge panels were cut and put on it. While on vacation the scraps and the panels wicked. And as always Maurer was right, the MC13 only needs 3 sheets of ply.
