Double Kayaks
Posted by Jim Carter on Sep 11, 2004
I have a question and it is not about building a Kayak per se. Do any of you folks have a fair amount of experience with paddling in a double Kayak..........without the second person helping you paddle??? Is this ever done? Would you try to balance or offset your weight by cramming as much gear/etc. in the opposite end? Is it better to sit in the stern cockpit or the bow? I am asking these questions because I am thinking of building a double kayak but I realized I am often alone (no jokes please)and would I be able to use it by myself?? Can someone help me out or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks Jim Carter
