We think this is the most comfortable aftermarket kayak seat anywhere. We first installed these in CLC boats in 1994 and it's been a bestseller ever since. The seat is built around a molded closed-cell foam "tractor seat" shape, a little wider and longer than usual for maximum support. The foam seat is sheathed in a nylon mesh, stretched taut around the seat so that the paddler is in essence suspended in the breathable mesh, with no hard points anywhere. The crowning touch is the tall, padded seat back, with luxurious lumbar support. The seat back can be adjusted at any point while on the water. The trick is to adjust the seat angling slightly forward so that as your weight settles back into it you get maximum support. The Creature Comfort seat fits in any kayak with at least 17" between the hip braces. Installation is just two strips of peel-and-stick velcro, plus a cleat for the adjustable seat back.
