Re: MC 16.5

I just recently finished my MC 16.5, built from the kit. I did not have any trouble fitting the knees, however, I experienced a similar problem with the forward bulkhead. I had to pull some compound curvature into the foredeck to get it close to the top of the bulkhead. I was then able to fill the gap with epoxy and wood paste to get the watertight joint. The end result does show a slight hump where the deck meets the coaming, just a couple of inches aft of the coaming nose block. This is where I was not able to pull the deck down tight on the carlins.

By the way, if you are intending to row the MC 16.5, you are in for a treat. It really smokes!!!
