ABSOLUTELY!!

I have a full woodshop, make my living in there and I LOVE the japanese saws. I use one or the other type very often working on the insides of even big boats- they are absolutely wonderful for working trim on the interior of a sailboat.

Should have gotten one of each at the Texas Kayak Builders bash this year but that sneaky Kurt Maurer beat me to 'em-
