Recently completed a CLC 16 for my son to complement my LT17 and we travel with both on Thule sqaure bars on fitted rails (Renault Megane Sport Tourer)covered in foam lagging for central heating. (£0.60 from local DIY and just as effective as pads) Both are strapped down at the front and rear of the cockpit and tilted to outside edges of hull. I don't use straps fore and aft as there is nowhere to attach them. Works fine - cruise at 70mph on motorway, even in strong winds.
