I have found that for my Chesapeake that V shaped foam blocks on a yakima rack with good tie down straps is very secure. I also have Malone auto loaders and they work well with the yakima rack and fit the hull shape perfectly. Lifting the boat onto the Malone racks is not easy. I also have a set of Yakima saddles I picked up at half price. They have been fussy to set up and do not fit the chesapeak shape well.
