SW Hybrid Inside Deck

Although the instructions for the exposed portion of the Shearwater Hybrid deck call for filling any gaps between strips with thickened epoxy before covering with fiberglassn there is no mention in the instructions of filling any gaps betwen strips on the inside of the deck before applying fiberglass there. Should any gaps in the underside be filled before fiberglassing?
