epoxy on bare wood
Posted by Geore P on Jun 6, 2007
I've sanded the hull of my Ch17 and am ready to put the glass on. However, there is a place on the bare wood where wet epoxy dripped while I was coating the interior. I wiped it off immediately, so there is no problem there, but the wood is discolored in that location where the epoxy soaked in (like water) and hardened. My question is whether I should sand out this discoloration or not. It seems that the discoloration will likely be hidden under the glass because I will be coating the entire hull and glass with the exact same epoxy mixture, but I don't want to assume it will disappear and then be sorry whent it doesn't. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
