If you have a local feed (hay) store, they may be able to help you. I have taken a couple boats to weigh to my feed store and they have let me just drive up to the scale, put the boat on, and read it from there.
The other place I took one boat was to my dump. They weigh all incoming, then weigh as you leave so they know how much to charge. I weigh in, unload the boat and weigh out.
Most of my boats have ranged from 85 to 150 pounds and either way has worked for me - with no balancing acts.
