Congrats on making it to the front page!

The lower aft deck on the LTs is supposed to make them more seaworthy, not less. It knocks down the boat's sail area, making it more manueverable. Last year's Okoumefest was so windy that CLC didn't let the sailboats out. I tried both the 17 & 17LT and the LT was a lot easier to control.

I think the real tradeoff is whether you need the extra storage volume, not whether it's sufficiently seaworthy.
