Re: Japan Dryer

Japan dryer is fast evaporating which, when added to specified paint coatings, improves drying in cold climates and facilitates spray application. Interlux sells "special thinner 216" as their Japan dryer and "brushing liquid 333" as thinner which extends working time in warmer weather. In other words, use Japan dryer in the winter and brushing liquid in the summer for paint. I've used both successfully with Interlux Brightside, but since varnish generally has short working time for keep a wet edge I wouldn't think you'd need it. I checked their website, but they don't list thinners suitable for each varnish product.
I hope this helps.
