Re: Storage question

I store my Ches. 18 upside down using the Harken Hoist. My car is too high and my garage door too low to drive in and out with the boat on the car. Hanging it this way makes me certain that all the water has drained out and also allows for maximum clearance for my open garage door. I have heard the same thing about recreational, particularly plastic boats, but would be very surprised if wooden boats would be at risk of hull deformation. By the way, I am sold on the Harken system. It is easy to install and in a matter of moments the boat is off the car and into the rafters, safe and out of the way.
