That's a lot less gapping than I had on mine.
CLC is right, fill with schmoo and the gap dissapears.
My 2 Cents: Make sure the fillet schmoo is nice and thick so you don't keep squeezing it through to the other side. After cutting the hatch, you will have some cleaning up to do on the other side. You might be able to wait until you have cut the hatch opening and then smooth both sides at the same time.
