Fitting cockpit

Hi,

Just about to fit the decks on our Chesapeake 16LT and 17LT. We have decided to glass the decks after reading recent threads on the Forum. The thing is, do we fit the cockpit coamings while the epoxy is still wet from glassing the deck. Or is it better to let the epoxy go off then sand then fit the coamings.
