If one has built an S&G before the Shearwater shouldn`t be all that much more. My first `yak is the Watersdancing multichine Solace XL, very similar to the Shearwater, I am not having a terrible time with it. If I had done one before I could cut the assembly time by a third at least. From 90 hrs to less than sixty.If we never stretch oursrlves, where would we be. I say go for it!! Or figure out a way to enlarge the Hawk cockpit. Remember this is America, we hot rod everything.
