Went out yesterday in my WR 18 for a 5 mile paddle. Half the trip was into 20-30 mph winds and 1' chop. The other half was with the wind and chop. The boat handled well, only slight weathercocking. Surfed well, too. Paddling time -one hour, ten minutes. Overall it's a very enjoyable boat in every situation I've had it in (quiet rivers, ocean and intercoastal waterway). I'm heading up to the Mid Atlantic Small Craft Festival this weekend and hope to see some of you guys there. And if you're building a WR 18 right now get the thing done and get in the water. You'll love it!
