flyfishing from a chesie
Posted by James Eager on Aug 29, 2005
I also made it to the boat show on sunday after five hours of flyfishing the salt from my short plastic recreational style kayak. When the bluefish are blitzing we chase the terns from spot to spot. Nature's fishfinder. It would be nice, I think to, have a faster boat that tracks better. Does anybody out there flyfish from a Chesapeake? I do not currently use a rod holder but prefer to tuck the butt of the rod under my thigh so I can feel strikes when paddling... so no spray skirt is used...also, stability for casting a nine foot or longer rod???
