Strengthening effects

If you want stronger/harder epoxy, use Cab-o-sil. You can use enough for a thickener or enough to create a harder finish without being thick. Cab-o-sil does tend to make the epoxy cloudy so use such a mix where it is either hidden or painted over. I used such a mixture combined with graphite powder to create a very tough finish on the bottom of my kayak. It has proven itself to be the most effective form of hull protection I know.
