mixing slow and fast epox

My Arctic Hawk came with two half quart bottles of slow and fast hardener, in order to achieve the medium hardner used in the fillets. So, my question today is, can I just mix the two bottles together in one container, place an epoxy pump in it and then use that mixture as a 50-50 with the resin? I dont believe that there is any call for the fast hardner by itself in the entire kayak. Any advice on mixing them would be appreciated. I have read the CLC epoxy articles.
