I built the 9'6" Nutshell pram - Joel White design - very similar to the Eastport. I've been very impressed with her sailing ability - I've had it out in 15 - 20 knots in harbor and she sails quite well. Don't know about the smaller design, but I expect she'll do fine. I've sailed mine with 2 adults, but only in light air. It's a little cramped, and you have to take balance/body position=ballast into account. I'd say fine for light air, but once you get above 12 knots it might be solo sailing. Be sure to put the daggerboard in when going anywhere near windward - they make huge leeway without it.
