Hi, I just lauched my ch16 on Saturday. build it from the book. I used Schooner Varnish for the finish. but the first coat was a disaster. I didn't wash the blush properly and parts of the first coat never set. I washed it off with Mineral sprits, wet sanded with 220 and this time the varnish dried to the touch in 2 hours. I left it for two days before the next coat. after that I only allowed a day between coats. 5 coats later and it's not perfect (small amount of dust) but you'd never know I had a problem with it.
