Re: Important & relevant

Ken Littledyke, an Englishman, is widely given credit for sorting out the stitch-and-glue thing. With a kayak, no less: an East Greenland-style boat called the Granta. I have a set of plans and instructions for it. They used fishing line instead of copper wire, and polyester-based products instead of epoxies to stick everything together. It was a heavy boat but they still get built from time to time.
I don't know if Mr. Littledyke is still alive. I believe that he is.
