Re: Toyota tie-down issue

A friend of mine did something I thought was pretty cool. He got some of the wider nylon webbing (maybe an old tie-down strap), folded it over to make a loop and then folded the ends over again, gets pretty thick. Then he bolted it in side the engine compartment of his truck using fender washer and the bolt ran thru the folded ends. The loop needs to be long enough that it is higher than the hood of the vehicle. To use, open the hood, flip the loops up, close the hood, instant tie-down loops, when not needed, open the hood, flip them inside and close the hood.
Of course you want to keep them away from any moving parts inside the engine compartment and from anything that may get real hot.
