We have a 16.5 set up for two paddlers. If I go solo, I move the velcro seat up as far as possible and shift the Yak foot pedals to the front of the brackets. This still leaves a significat trim problem.
Sooooooooo, being too cheap/lazy to install more velcro and an extra set of pedals, I just throw a few water jugs in the front hatch. Seems to work ok, particurly for sailing solo. A poor man's version of the movable water ballast they use in racing yachts. Bricks would work also, concrete bags, gold bullion . . .
