not really,,you can feel the wet sandpaper begin to remove material and notice the water get whitish with sanded varnish. After you sand an area, wipe it down dry then look at it at an angle and you'll see where it's sanded and not. It's nice not having to go outside to sand the varnish when it's too cold outside. Next time try out the one part polyurethane varnish as it dries harder and in less time than the regular varnish. Polyurethane varnish is to regular varnish as Brightsides is to regular enamel paint.
