I had a glass peeling incident in Maine a few years back: very sharp granite peeled back about 8 inches of 6 oz. e-glass.
I don't doubt one can glass over sealed wood - it's done all the time in boatbuilding. I just believe you'll get a better grip with glassing to raw wood, but I could be wrong. I'd be surprized if some engineer at West of elsewhere hasnt' tested this. I do know that some other types of cloth are more resistent to peeling off.
I'll be curious to see how that new dynel rub strip holds up.
Also, could you kindly give Karl the names of the Chesapeake paddling guides, including the one with the celebrity on the cover.
