thanks, Irl. I thought I would go with watertight hatch, too. Plans show one round hole in the middle, but I'm concerned about access, especially if I need to scrub or dry it out back there. thoughts? meaning, two smaller holes, one on each side?

I reckon I better clean her up before any more photos, sorry. The yakers always show pix that look like something mom wouldn't let us go out in, "it's are only for company."

The fact is that most sailors are very neat and professional. I am a rare exception.
