On my Skerry I lashed flotation bags under the center seat just forward of the center frame. The bags consist of odd shaped plastic canoe flotation bags (purchased at a clearance sale) used as bladders inside cylindrical canvess bags that I sewed up myself. This allows me to remove the flotation bags and replace them with dry bags full of clothing or sleeping bags for a camping trip.

I lashed the bags in using slots I cut in the edges of the seats and D-rings I mounted on the floor using a technique canoeists use. You can find these modifications discussed on the Skerry Builder's Forum:
