feathering glass

Hi,

Does anyone have any good tricks for feathering out the glass where it overlaps, both at the hull/deck join as well as the "rub strip" at the bow? I'm worried about digging into the cloth a bit, but I'm reluctant to add more epoxy (I'm starting to become embarassed about how much my double has "consumed"). Thanks in advance. Al
