once you start nailing the curve will continue, the "dry run" doesn't work to predict how the curve will develop. If you have any worries lay a damp towel on the deck beyond the bulkhead, it'll make the deck bend easier. A bowed or flat deck will have no affect on buoyancy, it's the hull that's in the water.
