Re: Pigment in the epoxy?
Posted by RogerJ on May 22, 2004
I bought some white pigment at my local West Marine. The bottle recommends no more than 3% pigment to epoxy. As my epoxy is measured with pumps, in small batches figureing 3% is by guess and by golly. The stuff looked white being mixed, but as I was squee-geeing a near final fill coat it came out sorta milky. Too thin a coat? This is in the area that will be under the fordeck so appearance is not important HERE. I'm not sure how much pigment/thickness of epoxy is needed for an opaque coat(s). RogerJ
