I use a block plane and a fairing board to round the chines and shear. The wet out coat is the first coat of epoxy applied to the glass cloth, "wetting out the cloth".

Filling the exterior seam gaps after filleting the inside is a step by itself. Use epoxy thickened to mayo consistency. Then let cure over night and plane to the approximate radius. Then let it cure enough to sand without smearing. Planing is easiest with an overnight cure before the epoxy gets really hard. Full cured epoxy can still be planed it just takes more effort and dulls the plane faster.
