bad misalignment
Posted by Jamieson Hart on Apr 30, 2004
To whom it may concern, It turns out that on my artic halk I had to resaw the joint on the bottom panels which caused, when glued, one panel to be more banana shaped than the other, which, in turn, caused the ends to meet funnily. In order that the keel be beautifully straight, the ends must be asew. My solution, which would slightly alter the hull, was to shave off the side hanging lower on the chine edge then once glued, shave off the opposite keel edge jutting out about and eight of an inch. Does this make sense? Would that be a stupid mistake? any other suggestions? It seems the only plausible solution to me. Thankyou, Jamie
