Boatbuilding Classes

A great way to get started as a boatbuilder!

Chesapeake Light Craft has been hosting and teaching build-you-own-boat classes since 1994. Through CLC boatbuilding classes, over 700 boats have been launched and more than a thousand students have been introduced to the joys of boatbuilding.

We hold boatbuilding classes at our fully equipped classroom in Annapolis and at the famous WoodenBoat School in Brooklin, Maine, as well as at other venues across the US. Classes are small, about eight boats each, so every student receives individualized instruction from a professional boatbuilder.
