Thanks aplenty to everyone who came out to see us at one of our stops on our westward peregrinations this summer.
Once again this year, stops in August and September included:
Madison, Wisconsin | Newport Beach, California | Sacramento, California
The Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, Washington
We had a great time meeting you, talking about boats and boat building and --- best of all --- messing about in boats with you. After a bit of a rest and regroup here at home, we'll be off again (headed south) after the new year.
First stop: Rutabaga in Madison, WI, on August 25, where once again they rolled out the red carpet (actually, it was green) for a great day of fun in the sun and on the water.
Some ducks stopped by to visit our Ducks.
After that, Joey was back on the road and headed west to California for a SoCal funfest at Newport Beach on August 31.
That was a wonderful day. We were joined by our colleague Larry Froley, who was able to provide expert---and very popular---demonstrations with the Kaholos. The Newport Aquatic Center is a terrific venue for small boat lovers.
The new Expedition Wherry was popular ... and so was the new Petrel Play.
Then it was on to Sacramento, where rain met us on the shores of Lake Natoma. The skies soon cleared a bit, however, and it was another fine day on the water.
Among the beautiful boats customers brought to Sacramento was this Chesapeake Double by Robert Mazzei.
